well good day folks another beautiful autumn day today we'll be talking about first aid kit okay so welcome folks mr. Robert McKenzie asked me if I could show my first aid kit you know for the outdoors and I thought about that for a little while and I said to myself why I never really made a first kit anyway not that I know of video so I said okay that's not a bad idea but at the same time I was pretty hesitant because I need to be completely honest with you guys I am not qualified you know to show you a proper first aid kit or how to use it in the expert kind of a way because all I can pretty much do is put a plaster and a little bit of appointment that's about it you know give or take so I was a little bit hesitant because I am not qualified and well we'll just say this is a sharing and maybe you will find something useful maybe not there's one thing though I did leave three things in there on purpose that I'm not quite sure what they are or what they're use useful so any first responders or paramedics doctors nurses if you can give me a hand and let me know just so I can know if it's adequate to keep him there or not I was also hesitant to make this video because we know that first aid kit videos can be long and boring so I'm gonna try and make this short and sweet for you if I can let's back up a little bit I haven't been carrying a first-aid kit like this for very long maybe the last all five years

I mean before back in the day when I used to go in the woods I wouldn't have anything and I mean nothing for a long time and then after that I you know will start carrying a couple plasters and you know the very minimal stuff and now today it seems like I'm carrying a pharmacy well maybe I'm exaggerating exaggerating a little bit but this is bound to change it always does but right now I'm pretty pretty satisfied with what's in here so I'm going to try to make this brief and just before we get into this pouch this is the Mex perdition combat medical pouch the fr1 I just love this pouch and obviously well there's not just first-aid kit in here there's other stuff that'll go real quick over what I'll do I'll just maybe put a few lengths of stuff you see in there you know I think Amazon pretty much has the best deals not on everything went on a few things okay so first off this thing is not in here it's in my front pouch I've showed this before you guys said it was like kolben they call also cents a wrap anyway this is really cool it's flexible it's for a quick fix it unrolls

and it stretches forgive me for the wind it's very windy today you know it stretches it's sticky that's supposed to be sanitized or I know what the word is but that's really close also don't expect to have all the perfect technical words in English and all that good stuff this is a sharing video okay so one thing I like to do like about this pouch here is this okay I've showed this before I just love it because it has two strings here to keep it level so your stuff doesn't go all over the place it's like a little table if you want now I've got let's not I'm not going to talk about first aid right away but just real quick I've got a flashlight a pen flashlight or a pen light why do I have a pen light in there well I'm pretty sure this has happened to you where you decide to go for a day hike and all of a sudden you say I want to stay a little longer and even spend the night you had enough stuff and you realize that whoops I forgot my flashlight so that happening too often I decided to leave one this is a pretty cool flashlight it's from thrunite ti3 Pole a batteries and very easy to just push anyway it's got 250 lumens I think pretty cool little flashlight but this is not a flashlight video okay I need to be brief also I have a little backup folder here which is my very favorite from Victoria Knox and I made my own little design on there and if you can see that

I don't know if it looks cool or not but anyway I know that this is mine alright going well right under here under this is self-explanatory or explanatory for bandage here you wrap under here is spare batteries and here is not really much first stage you've got a little zipper at the bottom okay bottom part and what I have in here is sewing kit needles and under these survival type blankets that's it put all this back in okay so let's get back to first state one thing that I really find important and of course it doesn't have to be in your first state is a mirror a mirror is great especially when you have something in your eye you want to take out or you know in your face anywhere or any other place on your body you can't really see without the mirror is well pretty important and also with a mirror you can you know signal you can do a few things that could be useful to you one thing about a mirror though it's hard to pack you know the corners and damage your your gear and if it's not well protected it can break so I just bring your simple compass okay this is uh what is this silver something anyway they're very small yeah so you have the mirror in here which is cool and you see what's in the back there's my camera well there you go double filmed so having this as a mirror compass

I have it for a multi-purpose which is I think cool okay so I have two pouches up here well let me get rid of this this is appointment no and take time to read on it they're antibiotic it's a strong one and I have two pouches here that are waterproof so let's take a look at this first pouch right here okay quick pouch waterproof quick look at what's in here I'm not I'm going to do this really fast okay pointment this says you've seen with that tube you've got pins I added these two bags you've got rubber gloves they're a good old or has it scissors okay don't damage anybody as you're cutting it's not pointy okay

and hand sanitizer gel in the bag or in a sealed thing they're over here now this is something as many of you say in your videos I guess I'm not qualified to suture anyone but if the worst would come I would certainly try for sure so this is a suturing kit okay some more ointment

hold on there okay chromium gut I thought I thought I had checked everything in this kit and knew everything about it I guess this is maybe just a needle who knows what's the difference between these two

okay this is the filament and this is the needle sorry about that important to know what's in your stuff that's what I usually study it okay a whole bunch of prep slabs here more argument plasters okay yeah I love that these I added these these are the the ones when you have a pretty deep cut but you can't suture it where you can just you know stick your one side and and pull and you know close up that wound well this is what these are for oh there you see it better here do that these these were pretty good and a few plasters so one more here is this o swabs swab sticks so that's for the first day okay so now that we went through the first bag let's go through the second it says this one here okay so this is the second bag again nice waterproof bag you're gonna see quite a bit of doubles of stuff you know like another pair of rubber gloves these are always handy bigger safety pins okay so remember I told you there's a few things I wasn't sure about this is one of them now to me of course he look like tweezers but they must be more than that maybe not you know you look like fair clothes really nice and tight but I was wondering about the holes and all that you guys have any ideas or maybe it's not even tweezers who knows okay so this is one of them that I wasn't sure was gonna leave second thing it wasn't sure is this guy here now my guess is to get some fluids out of somewhere or whatever but I wasn't sure if I would leave this in the first-aid kit because I don't know really what it's for single-use only there's nothing really that says but I know some of you know very well what this is so that's the second thing the third thing I was wondering that I'm not wondering anymore cuz I just see it these are band-aids to cut the cut in nice you know start opening this kit trying to learn everything I just thought I just saw this as a whole but now I see it it's like round band-aids put the soft ones anyway that's my guess if I'm wrong let me know alright so tape pretty obvious insect bites and a whole bunch of swabs again okay let me read it in English benzalkonium chloride white so that's what I'm thinking it is and these will we know what these are know what these are I'm not quite sure in English very simple and you got some bandages here call the ECC I'm missing words again band-aids there you go band-aids and some more little sterile or sterile gauze sterile is the word I was looking forward to that blue tape thing so there you go that's it nothing more than that maybe I have too much I pretty much know how to use everything except the firm you know those things that I mentioned and it seems that I have a little bit more than normal but this year so far I had to use this kit at least three times and it wasn't on me of course it can happen on me any time I'm not saying that I am but I had to use it three times and just comes to say that a little extra is always good especially when you're bringing other people out and they don't have this kind of stuff oh there you have it

seal that up okay so maybe you're beginning with this and again I have not qualified but I can still recommend a few things if you're looking you know - sometimes you can start it at home there's no problem but sometimes you'd like it to buy one that's not too expensive and that will pretty much have everything you need and of course like in any tips or I mean kits you can always add and take away so one I highly recommend is this one here it's from adventure medical kits okay this is the sportsman series steelhead they have different sizes and what you've pretty much seen not all but well you pretty much seen in that kit I've just showed you in my personal one it's pretty much all in here okay there's some stuff missing there but it's a pretty decent kit and it does come waterproof it's gonna play around 20 bucks if I remember well and any of you Canadians out there I think in the entire sells this so this is pretty much it for me again not qualified just sharing that's it and you know you didn't see any medication that kit that's because I have some in another one but I think it's important to bring some stuff you know for IRA nausea whole works small amounts it's always okay to have it here where I think I'm going to do yeah I think I'm gonna make another video right after this one while I'm here and I'll show you my my little hygiene kit it's small compact and lasts quite a while when you're out here I think I'll share that with you but just before I close this one you guys those three things or two things if you can please let me know if it's worth it for me to leave it in the kit or not if there's other mistakes that I've done tell me no problem one advice that I can give the beginners note that I am qualified again to do it but get a kit open it all up for everything you know you could see learn as much as you can how everything works if there's things in there you don't want or not useful to you take it out as the things you like and do it more than once I've had this kit for quite a while and I have to remember a few things again what they were useful of course you don't use this often a first aid kit so it's important you know once a month go through it again okay this is what that does is swip that does so that's it okay one last thing little heads up there's gonna be in the next month or two probably quite a few knives that you're going to see now not knife reviews I'm done with saying reviews use I'm not again qualified for that because a review you have to you know say it all tell it all and test it all and I'm not that kind of guy I'm not good enough for that so I'm we're just gonna say I'm gonna be showing quite a few knives for you guys that love knives out there what a question that is what a statement of course we love nice right okay thanks for watching this is Michael
