where do I get my wool blankets that's what we're talking about today well good day folks this is a most beautiful day snow it again the first time it melted but it snowed right back you have a nice the ground is frozen about a couple of inches of nice fresh powdered snow makes it great to walk in the woods I decided to make this video you know there's always questions about all kinds of stuff but this question came and came and came about where I get my wool blankets well it's fairly simple actually once in a while what I do is I bring some stuff to would you guys call that in the States I think it's good we'll not sure about those secondhand stores you know sometimes you got stuff that you don't use anymore and you bring it then they sell it very very cheap maybe to the unfortunate so what I do is every time I go when I try and go to a different place as much as I can what I'm done you know bringing my stuff I'm gonna go take a look at their blankets and that's where I find them when you think about it when you think about this planet and the people wool is not a product that they're looking for because it's not interesting for them of course in this outdoor community we're probably the only ones looking for and it's not everyone in the outdoor community that looks for so there's only a small group but when you think in general nobody's looking for it so every time I go into one of these stores I always find some now you have to how could I say it compromise a little bit don't expect to find your beautiful OD green or your beautiful brown because you won't well

not impossible but it's rare and you will find different quality you'll find some nice thick ones some thinner ones but that doesn't matter the fun is to try and find them and also you pay like almost nothing for normally what I'm gonna pay for is about two bucks so you know another place where I could suggest where I found some is in your Grandpa's or grandmother's attic or aunts attic or anybody in the family that has had a house for a long time usually you'll find some in the Attic because they don't use it anymore I found quite a bit there now again the colors are not the most but we're out there for the colors right it's to you to use it anyway right now what I'm gonna do is I'm going to show you a little bit what I got some of them and I'm going to ask someone to do it for me Mike Mike you there okay I'm sending them your way as Mike was mentioning here are a few examples that we found now we have more in other places but these are a few again do not expect to find your beautiful OD green or nice Brown you're gonna need to compromise on that a bit but if you take your time and look you can find some treasures now these two here now this one all of them are

percent except this one this one is 80/20 but this one is so nice that I would not bring it outside this is an indoor one you've seen this one here this one is nice and thick it's incredible how thick it is that's one of my favorites and then you can find this one is your average thickness here I got a little one that you see often in my videos this is a little when I bring as a ground floor and then I got thinner ones little yellowish color you see this one often as well in my videos that I bring they have a nice green this one's nice and thick as well and a beautiful orange that's Josie's orange now all of these that you see here I paid two bucks each

these two these are pretty high quality I was able to negotiate twenty bucks each

so that's pretty cool I'll show you I got more but I'll just show you one more they keep somewhere special okay so that's special place so they keep my other wool blanket is in my car now this will blanket there is always there and trust me I needed this guy at least three times this year to keep me warm and overnight I thought I was okay but I wasn't and I had it and I was very happy too now again it's not your beautiful OD green or like you know your your brown but it does a job a hundred percent wool so that's why I I keep it in here it's very useful okay so back to you Mike

yeah yeah I'm here Doug okay thanks right so did you see well hopefully Mike done a good job some sometimes you can't really trust them I hope you showed you you know what I have it's not all of them because they're all over the place in the house but it gives you an idea what you can fight all kinds of colors and as I said before you will not find maybe exactly what you'd like but hey you paid nothing for it also there are people out there nowadays that are making beautiful shirts and sweaters that sell wool blankets but the thing is it could be quite expensive now I'm not putting these guys down at all if you do have the money for it jump on it buy them you won't regret it your money will not be wasted but for those of us that don't have the kind of money those are your two best ways or areas to find them something else because they are cheap to buy you can have fun try making your own clothes and stuff if you do go wrong somewhere hey you paid two bucks for it but when you succeed you know it's rewarding alright so why am I wearing this jacket today let me give you it's hard to show you I don't want to take it off and show it's just a pain but just take a look at it real close I'm showing this to you because when you do dig a little bit deeper into these stores you may find treasures the last place I went I found three or four wool blankets but then I just spotted somewhere in a pile of junk well I should say pile of junk but pile of clothes I saw a little bit of gray

sticking out like this no that look like wool so I said let me go dig and what I found is this beautiful jacket there's no sadly there's no brand or anything on it but it's brand-new there's no wear or tear anywhere on it maybe it's a homemade thing I don't know but the thing is is I paid four bucks for it so if you dig a little deep you may find some too okay so I hope that this little information was you know helpful for some of you those that ask and those that feel like getting into this challenge and looking into these types of stores you know as I said wool is not very popular so there's a big chance you'll find something just a minute Mike Mike you there yeah I'm just about to close the video you want to come down no like right now she's got to be kidding me you serious okay then talk to you later okay well you want to hear Mike's excuse he says it's too cold and he's eating a bacon sandwich go figure alright so this is the end of this video I will also put for those of you who are maybe new at wool and maybe don't know anything about it or little I wrote a blog a short blog about it I'll put it in the description so you can get more informed about this great natural product so happy hunting
