very very very simple shelter tonight this is a 7 by 8 USMC old tarp I've had for a while I've got staked and four sides I didn't stake the back end because I don't need it I want it to be a wall square more space for me staked it here where there in the corner here and finish taking that there and close with the rock to the tree and the other one so it's pretty simple so that's pretty much the shape you'll get very simple yet very effective terrains well this is easily taken right stick it right down and it's good alright so you're gonna be hearing all kinds of background noises for a while anyway and I have no choice because if I don't I need to do some filming but I'm just telling you in advance I mean I'm in the mountains I come here for no noise but they're installing through those big wind turbines those things are everywhere now

you can't hide especially on the mountains so you're gonna hear some noise for a little bit oh and by the way oh my gosh I don't know how many years I've had this Matt I know I'm not even supposed to fold it but this thing is tough as nails I mean it's a thermal missed yeah I don't know why it hasn't been punctured yet or anything like that I know I know it's something one of the smallest of pack but I know for therm arrest they are tough for now I'll just decompress my sleeping bag I won't put it in right away I'll wait till it gets a little cooler before fluffing it up you know just to keep it safe from bugs ticks and stuff but we should be okay tonight supposed to be five degrees or four around 40 maybe [Music]

second piece I try I'm done now I am done I'm done no I am not carving another one that last one's gonna have to be it the new I'm not don't ask me now seriously a second piece I try it's gonna stay like that but it's it's just the worst pieces that you can ever get you know when they say oh that the would guide you what that basically means is that you have to follow the grain you got to especially it's you know a spoon or that and try and make a spatula a smaller spatula than what josy at you aren't a wide way I just wanted a small so I got two ways you got you know one way or the other really it's not really wide enough to go against the grain but the problem with this it's almost like a burro there's so many knots that the grain is going all over the place like this okay

so you want to take just this nice little chunk do you know just to make that shape and also pluck big piece comes up and that's all over there the spoon especially the handle part so I couldn't make it like I wanted to but it's gonna have to do I'm taking a break eating an apple the sun's going down still having fun though all right so I'm also testing a new headlamp by thrunite it's been a while and it's called the th 30 I'm not mistaken here make sure yeah th 30 give you a quick look alright so the battery is 18650 you can see comes with it it's rechargeable on the side here and the rubber let's see oh yeah I like that one goes in nice you don't all right so this is a pretty powerful headlamp

it's got like three thousand plus lumens on it now they've improved a few things honor the LED you know I can't remember everything you can check out in the link that's gonna be in this description if you want to know more in detail but they've improved a few things and I mean their flashlights were already quality so that's pretty cool this headlamp can also be used as a handheld lamp you just take it out so when you think about it if we're not too picky

this is all you would need as a flashlight because I mean it's a headlamp and it's also a handheld flashlight and you've got power and you've got also very low modes if you want to read or just work around the camp it comes with the next truck one of these rubbers USB I think it's micro USB and also some rubbers here or old rings I should say for the side and inside and you've got a clip amen for the clip so that means you're tired of holding in your hand tired of having it on your on your head you just clip it on your backpack in the front straps just clip it there boom very easy to access it ok quick look on the you know general modes the outputs the runtimes oh my gosh my eyes are very they're not very good anyway the turbo 3350 lumens if I can read it right okay it lasts 1.5 minutes and then it falls to 1,050 lumens and lasts 103 minutes which is normal we come to hot for one small you know headlamp like that and you've got the high 90 minutes you can read the lumens medium you can continue reading I have to say everything medium low they call low Firefly and SOS the Firefly it can last 32 days Wow okay and the maximum distance is 155 meters which is normal this is not a spot it's a flood and that's what you want okay so let's see how this fits on your head now you've got two adjustments one the top here or you just if you need to shorten it you push forward and push it back and the same thing on the side then I can't believe I'm in the mountains and I hear those noises as if I was in the city I'm not even relaxing right now well weight limit comes dark they're gonna be gone I'm gonna be alone in my Mountain okay stop complaining so let's see well I know I know it looks big but let me tell ya it's surprisingly very comfortable and I don't feel like it's a pain you know there's some headlamps that weigh a ton and they're annoying this one is very comfortable anything that comes with these rubbers here know that move like that

very comfortable cool well done well done okay adjustable well I guess we're not going to put in that position right so the main position would be here yeah very easy to adjust hey your crooked you don't look good on camera hold on here there or like this perfect yeah

for comfort awesome so now what I'm going to do I'm gonna wait until it gets darker we're gonna have fun with this but right now I have an hour and a half of Sun and it gets darker in these spooky woods so I need to get some wood prepped up

don't need a ton of wood but I want to eat a little bit cook and you know all right I have a campfire tonight [Music]

always use and have for years use mineral oil and get that at the pharmacy a little more expensive there's other oils you can use but that's what I've been using anyway well you know I didn't like carving this piece of wood I think the grain is completely worth it little more of a drop here look hey hey hey hey don't waste this precious oil boy

just wanted a simple spatula nice grain on it if I do say so myself was a pain to carve but oh no if you hear that gosh it's not perfect but you know what I'm happy about it as long as it could flip but I can't don't have to use my fingers see all these knife marks on I'll give it character

well my mini spatula works as well as a spoon for this job yes finally no sound feels good on my previous video and make the new trip remember I was showing you that weather the weather the temperature seen it was zero that was wrong my eyes my eyes are not as good as they used to it was more like five degree okay before tea it wasn't zero at all so I apologize need some glasses I'm gonna cook up something after something very simple but very delicious and something I'm pretty sure everybody likes and I just have it out here once in a while cuz it's not too healthy once in a while now as I said that's something that I will do every day but out here well this is going to be some awesomeness of a little nice sandwich squish it a little bit not too much perfect mm-hmm you need at least one unhealthy me like this in the woods once in a while

now you remember it has one switch at the top so I'm gonna close it so if you want the Firefly while it's closed you just hold it boom Firefly and close it again then you open it

now you're on low now if you hold it you're gonna go through all the modes low low medium medium-high and SOS so let's go through it by holding it okay it's got memory now it doesn't matter where you are on the modes if you double-click it'll go to the turbo oh okay

as you can see well you probably can't see but this thing is super bright it's very wide nice flood beautiful and it's not even quite dark yet so okay if you need to read I'm on the very low and that's pervy for my eyes perfect now you see me up there don't want to look at the camera cuz blind you but let's have a little fun here this is just perfect to work around the camp I'm on the low I don't need much more than that that's perfect let's say all of a sudden I hear some noise in front like something coming towards me or somebody boom Wow you know what you can also be used as us guys filming during the night could be a light camera for videos why not that thing is just I took it off the straps is just nice and flat on the on the camera I can see everything and I'm met to serve their medium-low I'm not too sure what it is there's a thousand lumens I could have used the other one but I want to be clear it's actually pretty cool if I got something to show you during the night I can see and it's fun for you guys you guys making videos you know what I mean when we lose the light there's not much we can do but you can use that as a light camera what do you guys think guys like seeing in the dark like this yeah I like it

so it's got many many uses and I'm going to use it oh yeah so can't really go wrong if you don't even have a flashlight just get this one and you're all set if you do all kinds of stuff but now I like the warmness or the ambience fire by the lantern better than the light so for now I got nothing to film and I saw what it shutter off well it's 10 o'clock I'll be hitting the sack pretty soon view a little bit of reading right now I'm just relaxing and enjoying the campfire which is the best after everything is done you just enjoy relax recharge go to bed so I'll just let you guys enjoy the fire with me you guys like it further away or a little bit closer there a bit more in the middle

well good morning our fellow pushback did you realize that I have to get out of my warm sleeping bag open up my camera and because the light of the day is still not good I'll use that awesome tonight I just on the low bowl or the third room so you could see me so I can make this scene pretending that I'm just getting up yeah I love you guys quite a bit to do that now this slide here is sagging just because of my lantern that's fine Oh

this'll probably good no I don't want to get out again it's pretty cold and the forest was alive rustling Wow in the beginning and that stopped then I slept up to two o'clock well my famous headache started but you know I changed positions and well I was able to stay in until 5:00 anyway thing is this time of year that's one thing I liked about the summer I wake up early and the summer the Sun wakes up early now it's six o'clock they still I mean the sky is clearing up I gotta wait especially for filming so how was your night yeah mine was awesome I'm so comfortable right now there's a wind the cold wind in my face I could actually go back to sleep I need to get up close up camera you know they shouldn't event then I gotta open up a screen so I can see turn up the remote controller the screen opens and that's the boy and when he closed it stop it the screen course [Music]

I'm gonna need a fire I know cuz I got up already so I need to prep up some wood a very quick fire I love this cool weather I love being in my sleeping bag I love being an open air like this but I really hate getting up when it's cold wow that was a lot of whining right

oh gosh okay seriously no well by the way you newbies beginners if you go into cooler weather I highly recommend a hat and a Nick one those are very important and of course you know you're sleeping your fleece and long johns and stuffing this neck warmer I never used to really put neck warmers but in the past two three years oh man it just keeps the heat in

they say somewhere already think it is and though I'm not talking to myself I got a camera to talk to so it doesn't look so bad right well I don't know what the weather is but they were announcing for and I'm pretty sure it's that and you know when well we all know when they rate sleeping bags let's say like mines rated at 0 or 30 well it's not really that you can say maybe more at 5 or 40 or even 10 but when you dress up properly with fleece like right now I have my long johns a nice pair of wool socks I even have a nice you know a thinner t-shirt inside with my collar and my pack I'm pretty sure it would go 0 no problem so they forget to mention the rating plus close right close okay let's get this wood

yeah there's something a little maple my friend look at that so

it's a good idea to think the ashes off it gives access to air okay see that to the coal so they get hot or quicker and I don't need a big fire right no you don't

so let's bring our friends again the redheads why not redheads on do us a favor here smells good

or this is gonna make a nice flame after that whole bunch of these that's ready to flame up there

one or if I can put this really close I can get the first thing we with the weight of the water I take a chance get this water going man the creek is dry I found one spot there being smoke there sorry about that better and what choked you up so I'll change your place again here the creek is completely dry I had to go down quite a ways to find just a little puddle so don't want to lose that water in there that's it when he'll meet help me a little bit I don't feel like breathing on that today you can do it free can so was an overall awesome day let me tell you very awesome day then good night good fire perfect weather nothing to complain about it's just awesome

but like most all day in the day becomes pretty warm then follows back nice and cool crisp clear air man what you missed summer we had right this actually feels pretty good so I know if I try and take a sip of this I'm gonna burn myself with this cool air shouldn't be too long I'm not gonna add any more wood just gonna let this burn down because I'm gonna need to make quite a few trips to that puddle put this out properly where I start packing you got quite a few things to do today well I do hope this was enjoyable for you guys

this tarpon had played 40 years it's the old USMC it's a little heavy it's not very big it's 7 by 8 just about but when you're doing most of the time I knew it didn't need a fire to last night but most of the time when it's cold or I have a fire in front I'm not afraid to burn this thing is fire retardant so I mean I've had quite a few pulls you know go on it no prob I have a few holes well keep on using it I might use it less though
