Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi guys today I'm back at my camp and as you can see I have finished the bed and it took a lot of cutting and as you can see I have sorted the logs from fig to fin and this way you lay on a very smooth and even bad which is more comfortable than mixing it all up and here at the backside I have already used some nails to hold down the poles and I'm going to use nails here at the front too because this is a flooding area and every three years we have high water up to here so I really hope that the flooding doesn't take away my poles and that's why I'm using these the roof is a little bit flimsy so I have to set up some poles to stabilize it

finally the shelter's finished now let's make the fireplace I just have made an innovated fireplace and as you can see the ground is very low me which is a perfect round for safe fires however if you make a fire in here it probably will harden up the loam and then you would have some kind of you know container where the rainwater would collect and that's where I have to make a drainage hole and this drainage hole is also going to act like a Dakota fire pit

the fireplace is finished and it's looking great and can't wait to make a fire here but today it's too stormy so I rather not make a fire and yeah this was building a semi-permanent shelter I want to thank you for watching please check out these videos here at the side if you want to see other building videos follow me on Facebook Twitter and Instagram and stay tuned to the next time bye
