Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

I'm Lily and today I want to show you my new headlamp at a company through night stay tuned okay this is the box that a headlamp comes in mine comes with neutral white and first of all you have a little manual user manual and then you got styrofoam for protection and here is the headlamp and then you have spare o-rings and a spare button and in here there's a little list of some of their flashlights they have yeah and that's pretty much it so that's what's in the box now let's take a close look at the flashlight okay first of all let's come to the dimensions of the flashlight the headlamp it's seven point seven centimeters wide it's five point three centimeters long and the diameter is three point two centimeters it weighs 132 grams which is quite a weight for a head lamp and that's why I have a third strap on the head straps here so now with this middle strap here there's no way that the flashlight is coming down because of its weight so it's it's really tight and you won't lose it and the cool thing about the host here is that you can turn the headlamp up like that or down like that so there are almost no limitations for the directions of the flashlight which is pretty cool the flashlight itself is made out of aircraft aluminum and it has a hard abrasive finish and it is connected to the straps by this piece of rubber here but it's very comfortable to ver because I experienced that with the other headlamps if you wear them quite some time they will hurt on your forehead and this one is very soft and comfortable but still sturdy enough to carry the flashlight the headlamp and you can take out the flashlight of this holster here by taking off this rings and then you have this piece of flashlight which you can use in your hand if you want to so now let's take a closer look on the headlamp itself it's called th10 and the flashlight is run by either one 18 650 battery or by to see one two three a batteries and here you can see that there's negative and positive polarity and you have to put in the battery in the right way like that and then you just close the screw like so and there you have it here at the front we can see an orange peel reflector and the LED is a cree xml2 LED which has a life span of 20 years and a maximum output of 750 lumens which is very very strong and it has a beam distance of 148 meters which is very far so that's a pretty strong headlamp which is going to last you for a long time okay now let's come to the operation of the headlamp the headlamp only has one button here and you can turn on the flashlight

by pressing the button like so and then by holding the button you can circle through three modes low medium and high and there are three more modes for example if you press the switch two times very quickly you get into the height to over mode which has 750 lumens and if the flashlight is switched off like now and you press the button longer than one second it will give you the Firefly mode which is a very low which is great for reading in the night for example so now let's switch again into the twirl mode 750 lumens and from here you can come into the SOS mode by double clicking the switch again like so and now you have a great emergency device and signalling device which is producing a Morse code SOS so I think that's very very cool that's a very cool feature

okay now the flesh that is say to be impact resistant to two meters now I want to see if that's true I gonna drop it from two meters still working

so this headlamp here runs from 18 650 battery and some people don't like it because they think it's how to recharge in the field but brunette has come up with a solution they've made this small recharge station here and with this device you can reload 18 650 batteries and a whole ton of other batteries why USB so if you have a power bank with you or for example a solar panel you can upload your batteries with the small device it comes with this pouch here and it contains this USB cable and the very cool thing about this device is that you can use it as an emergency power bank so you just insert the battery and then you can plug in a USB cable and charge your iPhone for example that's very very cool I like it because it's so small and I like to color too because you won't lose it in the wilderness so the headlamps that th10 by the company through night is water resistant and impact resistant it cost around 40 US dollars I have put an Amazon link into the description and I have to admit that I'm a big fan of headlamps I love headlamps I love having both hands-free in the past I was using Petzl tikka 2 which has 80 lumens which is a very good flashlight but for my taste it's just a little bit too weak and I wanted to have something stronger and this one here has 750 lumens and that's really really strong so I just like to know what's going on around my camp during the night so if I hear something I want to go looking and see what it is and if a strong headlamp you can do that and see very far so I'm gonna keep this flashlight here and use it in future videos and test it out if it's worth the money 40 US dollars I think that's a great price for the value that you get I want to thank the company who night for designing the th10 I think they did an awesome job for the first headlamp it's really awesome I want to thank you for watching don't forget to subscribe like and share and stay tuned till next time bye
