Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. hi guys I'm Lilly and today I'm back at my camp by the riverside and today I want to build a primitive earth oven stay tuned

so for the oven you need a lot of Earth of course and also some kind of frame which I intend to make with this wheel of shot okay I have decided to make the primitive earth oven right here at the spot because it's a good spot you know doesn't come into my way and there is no vegetation or anything and I think it's just perfect

okay let's start setting up the frame okay as you can see we have quite a high content of clay in this earth which is a good sign because this makes the oven more stable

yeah guys finally I'm finished with the oven I think it turned out great and now I'm going to build a fire inside but it would be better to wait for one week to let the guy eat or dry out because then you wouldn't have so many cracks but I'm not interested in having a perfect oven and if it's getting cracks you know I just add another layer of K and then it should be fine as you can see I have made some fine fire wood and it's important that you use fine stuff because in the oven is still very moist and in order to be able to have good fire you need to find kindling and I'm going to start my fire with the fire steel and using some birch bark as tinder hey guys the oven is working and now I have to fire the oven a couple more hours with firewood until it has dried out and then the work is done if you want to see a Donovan building videos check out these videos here at the sides follow me on Facebook Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more stay tuned till next time
