hi I'm survivor Lily and today's video is going to be about dandelion a survival food stay tuned yeah dandelion is growing all over the world you can eat the stalks the roots the leaves and the flower it's completely edible and it is containing a lot of vitamins vitamin A vitamin C vitamin K and a lot of minerals like for example calcium potassium Aran and manganese as I said you can eat the leaves some people in my country like to eat it like a salad but the leaves are very bitter and if you eat too much of them you can get some problems with your stomach you can get rid of the bitterness by simply blanching the leaves and making a spinach out of the leaves

however the leaves of the ten lion plant are not very nutritious they are good as a salad but if you want to find a nutrition you have to dig out the roots because they have a lot of calories okay I'm back at the camp and I've collected a handful of the Enderlin roots and there is one very important thing to know the roots they taste very pizza now there are two ways of how you can get rid of the bitterness the first way is boiling it and that's the fastest way but by boiling it you're not only going to get rid of the bitterness but you're going to destroy the vitamins and you're going to get rid of that in Ulan which is a carbohydrate and which is making dandelion nutritionist so today I'm going to try another technique of how to get rid of the bitterness I'm going to cut the roots into very fine and small pieces and they're going to let them soak in water overnight and this way you can get rid of the bitterness but the annealing stays inside a food okay that's it now we are going to wait 24 hours and then we will see if the bitterness is gone stay tuned looking good

much better they don't taste bitter anymore so after one day in the water that dandelion would say tastes actually very good they taste a little bit sweet because of the annealing and inulin is only the chest in your guts so it's taking some time until you can access the energy which is in the root and the other thing which is important to know is that dandelion is theoretic so you need a lot of water to the chest the root and if you have some problems with your urinary tract or if your kidneys dandelion roots can help you out so now I don't want to eat that dandelion roots like this I want to roast them and make a coffee out of it very good
