Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi my name is Lily and today I want to shoot my new 17 HMR rifle stay tuned yeah so this is my new rival before that I had another 17 HMR but the model was a little bit heavy and bulky and I wanted to get a lighter rifle like this one here and I traded it this is the model C set 455 it's made in the Czech Republic and the scope on this rifle is a very old Swarovski scope 8 by 56 so now let's do some shooting in the field I already have zeroed it in at 100 meters at the shooting range but you know I always recommend that you shoot your rifle in the field because it's always a little bit different than at the shooting range ok I've loaded up the magazine with 5 rounds and I going to shoot all of these five rounds at this one target here at different distances first distance is 14 meters yeah pretty deep about 6 to 7 centimeters deep coming closer to the middle about 5 centimetres low 38 meters coming closer to the middle 69 meters yeah this one was a little bit deep here so I think you're gonna do the same distance again I build a fair amount Ford again let's see if it shoots a little bit better this time and I'm also quite out of breath so now I'm gonna take that time and catch my breath again I don't know you can see where a shot let's take a look yeah the last shot was pretty ok I have to say it hit at the right height but as you can see all of my shots are a little bit to the left yeah so but it's not that tragic so I'm gonna leave it like that and maybe you're gonna hit the shooting range again and see if there's a problem but you know I think this is perfectly fine the only odd shot that I did was this one here this was definitely the shooters failure it was my fault but other than that I'm very happy with the performance of the gun I'm very happy with the precision of the ammunition and I have to say that the 17 HMR is my favorite caliber when it comes to small calibers it's yeah if I had to back out I would take this small lightweight rifle as I said you know it doesn't have a lot of weight so you can do some running with it and get away quickly and also the ammunition is very small it's not very heavy you can take a handful of ammunition with you and make it a long time in the wilderness and it's also very cheap ammunition and yeah 17 HMR has a flat trajectory it's super fast you have a high chance of a shock effect when shooting small animals and yeah the only thing with HM are 17 HMR is that you are not as precise as for example with

22lr so if you are looking for a target shooting rifle it's maybe better to take 22lr ammunition but for my purposes for hunting small game you know pheasants here I gonna do some crow hunting in the next time because we have a lot of crows in my village and the crows they are doing a lot of damage to the wildlife so far I'm very happy with this rifle I want to thank you for watching follow me on Facebook Twitter and Instagram and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more stay tuned till next time bye
