Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. hi guys today I'm out here at the back of camp we have some fresh snow and today I'm going to say one night out here in the woods now I want to show you my sleeping system for tonight so first of all I have this milah isolation mat which is very thin but very effective and then I have bought two sheep fur they are going to be my main isolation met a sheep fur is very very warm and I have a first sheep for here which is for ducks when he's sleeping in the night and then I have this sleeping bag out of fool as I have sewn this together out of a wool blanket and inside of the wolf blanket

I got another sleeping bag which is made out of town and the sleeping bag in here has a comfort zone down to minus one degrees Celsius and today it might be expecting temperatures around minus five so with the set up I should be fine even without the fire okay today for food I have dog food for dogs I have dehydrated soup green rice salami and bread and today I'm going to make a stew out of that so first of all I want to open up the soup green and soak it in water because it needs some hours to hydrate again okay I have about one hour daylight left so I want to collect a little bit more firewood for tonight because it's going to be a really long night and today have rough drafts of me now it's time to build a place where snacks can sleep for tonight but I'm not sure if you want to sleep inside of the shelter or outside so I'm going to prepare two places for him okay this place here seems perfect for sleeping for the dog the wind is coming from this direction so I'm going to prepare a bean sheet for him and underneath the tree he should be fine Thank You market okay so inside of the shelter I'm going to prepare a place for him right here because that's far enough away from the fireplace

okay now it's time to prepare the fireplace I think this is going to be an interesting night because right now there was a lot of wind and all the snow came down from the tree so I'm really curious if the fire will burn through the night so let's see today I'm building a platform we have a lot of logs to make some kind of self feeding fire so the plan is that I built a fire up here and then it will burn for some hours till it's burnt down to the coals okay so that's a plan that's the theory that today there's a lot of snow coming from the top and the wood here is not 100% dry so we will see if this works out or not it's getting dark now and that's his somber Banksy I think maybe he went home or he will come back soon we will see dad you are good dog come on come Stephan a gift taxes on food no yeah mm-hmm good boy so my number one priority now is to dry out my clothes because they are quite wet and being wet and so it's a dead mixture so you will get hypothermia faster anything so now it's time to cook something I have my soup here and I want to add some rice to the soup and some salami

that's the rice okay I think that's enough kind of keep the rest for tomorrow morning and if max is hungry get some steaks - there's a lot of good stuff in this food here you got vegetables from the soup green you got carbohydrates from rice and protein from the salami so everything you need is in here I'm letting the torch's class I'm gonna have a little bit more light inside of the camp there's one good thing about wet flaps you can't get burned the food is ready now it's time to open up a bottle of beer both I forgot the song but you know it's Jason okay I must say that I'm very happy with the fire cause a little time and everything is a little bit but the fire tends to burn bad and if this kind of self-feeding fire it's like that logs taking up each other and then the ground really goes I think that's the best fire I've ever made you know at least in beta time it's no problem you'll find water so now it's about seven o'clock and there are still 12 more hours darkness this is so relaxing really enjoying this yeah no it's 9 o clock and I spent the last hours watching the fire and reading a book now I got hungry again so I'm eating a little bit of the salami and up the bread it's 12 o'clock now and I'm tired so now I'm going to get into the sleeping bag so don't think that I need the super shelter I think that my setup is warm enough that I don't need the fire at all in the night now I'm in my sleeping bag and it's very warm I have to say I'm almost sweating so now I'm gonna let the fire die down a little bit because it's just too hot good morning folks at seven o'clock now and I just woke up and yeah the sleeping bag is so warm I didn't I wasn't cold at all taxi good morning I don't want to get out of the sleeping bag it's so cozy I think I got a steep one we're out here you

so all I have left is this bread here because tax he insisted yesterday night that he wants to get the salami it's a wonderful morning and I have brought some nuts with me beech nuts hazelnuts and acorns and I want to leave them here in the forest so that the animals of the forest have something to eat and this is my way to thank mother nature that I could stay here for one night so this was my video about the overnight here in the woods winter time I want to thank you for watching don't forget to subscribe like and share and stay tuned till next time
