Hi, my name is Lilly and I like spending time in nature to practice my survival and bushcraft skills. This is a holistic survival channel which means that besides wilderness survival I also do modern survival videos. Sometimes I use modern tools which people might have at hand in a real survival situation. Also all of my videos are pre-recorded, which mean that they do not get released immediately after I film then. That is why seasons in the video can differ from actual seasons. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi guys my name is Lily and today I'm out here in the beautiful forest to shoot my bow again this is my new bow it's the black hunter by the company mentoring duck diverse and nice to sponsor this video and yeah last time I set up the pole and now it's shooting precisely it's shooting very silently and also the spine of the arrows is right so it's a perfect setup and the next thing that I want to do is I want to get more accurate with the bow which means practice practice practice and also today I want to install a side target side here at the window of the bowl so that I can aim a little bit better you know and yeah that's the plan for today stay tuned and we're getting right into the makeshift target side okay I have this piece of paper here which I'm going to attach to the back of the window of my bow because I want to make some markings this paper before I make the actual markings on the bow itself

as always I'm using the hands guard and the quiver of mandarin duck very beautiful products you can find them in the description where I have put the link to their website so now I'm going to make a couple of shots and I am just as usual so usually I aim over the pull-string which runs over my eye and then I can see the the tip of the arrow still and then I bring these two points into line with the target basically I have a line from the bowstring over the tip of the arrow to the target and that's how I usually shoot now when I imagine this line this line will cross the window somewhere here and then when I went a sieve or a shot I'm going to make a marking on this piece of paper it can be here or up here and yeah this is something that I want to do for different distances and then it should get different markings at least that is the plan so that's the first time that I'm trying this out let's see if it works

the next thing that I have with me today is a laser rangefinder and this allows me to measure the distance between the target and myself and right now the distance is at 6 meters so now I'm going to mark the ground here so that I can always come back to the same spot okay this was six meters now I want to step back a little bit maybe shoot the next error from here okay this is nine meters

nine okay I'm aiming at the six meter target again now at the six meter site so there's not a lot of drop when it comes to short distances the arrow shoots pretty straight so up here was the target site for six meters and down here it's a target site for nine meters okay next I want to go back three more meters okay now the distance is 12 meters that's it right in the middle so this here is 12 meters the next distance is 16 meters a little bit high still high high oh my god yeah I think you got the line it's right here so now I'm going to make my next marking which is right here this is now 16 meters okay now we have 20 meters of distance which is quite far away now so let's see how I shoot at this distance hi yep that's met up good tide now yeah much better

okay I'm going to make my marking here and now I gotta fetch the arrows and I want to try again at this distance I want to see how good I get now right in the middle to the left my release what's not so good - hi Tomica yeah I know I shot my arm guard huh okay I think I got it now I'm going to try one more time a little bit high okay okay we are at 25 meters now this is just for fun now and I'm glad when I hit the target that's a better proofing than my 20 meter grouping awesome Wow awesome look at this so the first error was low that was the first one and then I knew where I had to aim so I am tired so I'm gonna take away the first error I mean look at this this is a great grouping for 25 meters this is much better than what I had at 20 meters I'm amazed awesome Wow I can't believe it that's really good for every curve ball you know and especially I'm not trained and the Popo is new so cool ok I just want to show you my markings that I got on my boat so the first one was 6 meters and then we came up to 20 meters here and then there was this very big gap which was between 20 meters and 25 meters and that's because of gravity so when the arrows lose a little bit of speed the gravity pulls down the arrow and that's completely normal with a 40-pound bow yeah guys I'm very happy with my target sights and when I come home now I'm going to take off the paper and then I'm going to make markings with the permanent marker and yeah it's a very easy system you just need to measure the distance between you and the target and then you can make this target site easily for your bow as well now what I want to say is that this is personal so it makes no sense if the manufacturer makes these markings beforehand because everyone has a different ball shooting style and a different draw weight so if I give this boat you know and if you shoot with this bow you will have different target sides because maybe you draw out the string a little bit more than me then you have more speed with your arrows so everyone has to make these markings themselves and yeah I'm very happy now with my accuracy I've never had so so great results at 25 meters that's unbelievable unbelievable really and yeah this is a great and easy system to get better accuracy if you are recurve bow don't forget to check out mandarin ducks website you can find a link in the description of this video and stay tuned till next time okay last but not least I would like to do a hunt around one arrow at each distance this is the last one
