hi guys today I want to make a bow drill set out of yucca stay tuned yes I recently discovered that I have yucca plants in my garden and yucca makes this stem here in springtime and this is the flowering stem so usually there are flowers all over it and then when the flowering season is over the accustomed loses its flowers and yeah it will die off and it will stay dry and on the plant for a long time so I have taken two of these flower stems with me into the forest and now I want to make a bold little kit out of it okay now let's take a close look at the stems here and unfortunately I just discovered that there was a lot of water running off this part here and it's very saturated there's a lot of moisture in this part here I'm gonna cut off this piece here and try to make the half-board out of this piece which seems to be much more drier and for the spindle I would take this part here so this piece here is a little bit too wet as I said but I don't want to throw it away I'm taking it home with me dry it out for a couple of weeks and maybe make a half board for a handrail set I just have taken a part of this pine bark here which comes off in this layers and you need some kind of ground layer where you can put your half ward on because otherwise everything would get wet and yeah as you can see all of the ground is covered with snow so you want to have some kind of protection for your ember okay the first hole is done and I just discovered something peculiar the spindle was making some kind of point here so but that's not good I gotta cut it away

and next I'm carving the notch for the half board

yeah yes yes I can't believe that this worked so quickly I didn't use a lot of pressure oh my god this is the perfect material for Bodrum yeah yes I can't believe this right yeah it was so easy much easier than with with willow or poplar I didn't even dare to press down fully so I just used a little bit of pressure to not break the spindle which is a little bit fragile and here I can't believe this really work with this almost moist material so yeah awesome awesome Yakka perfect material for bull drill and hand railing awesome Wow

ok guys so if you want to see a de Vaudreuil doing videos check out these videos here by clicking on the info box follow me on facebook twitter and instagram and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more stay tuned to the next time bye
