Hello my name is Lilly and I am making videos about primitive living skills, survival, bushcraft, camping gear and prepping. I consider myself being a modern hunter-gatherer who wants to live as close as possible with mother nature and right now I am in the process of learning how to live off the land and thrive in the wilderness. Thanks for watching ~ Survival Lilly

hi guys my name is Lily and today I want to show you my new bushcraft knife this is the boreal bushcraft by a diving sparrow knives let's take a closer look okay first let's take a look at the specs of the knife the knife blade is 0.125 inches thick which i think is the perfect thickness for a bushcraft knife which is medium sized because if it's too thin you know it tends to break and if it's to fit you won't have good carving capabilities anymore so I think the thickness is just perfect and as you can see the thickness fins out at the tip of the knife and we have a full flat grind here which should enable the knife to do very good carving tasks and the blade is made out of 1095 carbon steel this year as the logo of diving sparrow we have a full flat grind and handles are made out of natural Makara and as you can see the handle is a little bit long for my hand but you know I have women's hands so if you are a guy this handle here would be perfect for your hands I really like the surface of the mikado handle because it's not too polished so he won't slip and the ergonomics of the knife handle they allow you a very firm grip on handles that you won't sleep sideways and the finger guard is very secure so there's no way that you slip over to the blade with your index finger by accident the length of the knife is 9.5 inches and the blade length is 4 point 6 inches which is almost 12 centimeters which i think is the perfect length for a medium-size bushcraft knife the knife comes in a very nice leather shift like this it's very robust made from 9 to 10 ounce letter and it's custom made it has this very beautiful color and a very sturdy belt loop and if you put in the knife into the sheath you will see that it fits the if very snug and it doesn't fall out on its own okay let's try to make some feta sticks after this raft batoning and see how the knife performs and making very fine shavings

yeah these are the finest feathers that I've ever made in my life pretty good the spine of the plate has a very sharp edge so it should be perfect to use for fire steel it's unbelievable how this knife Nick's into the wood like I think it maybe has the perfect size for carving so I'm very impressed with this knife the next test that I want to make is the tip test the tip is pretty fine on this blade so I thought that I want to see if it breaks if I pry some wood for example

the knife is still in one piece and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the carving capabilities I've never had a knife that carves that good and I can't wait to take it with me on my future adventures also I want to say thank you to diving spero knives for sending me this awesome custom made knife if you want to get a knife like this check out the website in the description of this video and they have other knives there as well not only this one but different models don't forget to subscribe to my channel and have some awesome videos planned for the future also follow me on my facebook fan site Survival Lily I have some videos on there that are not on YouTube which might be interesting to you and I'm on Instagram and Twitter as well so thank you for watching and stay tuned till next time bye
